Find Student Discounts with AI
Find every student deal you qualify for and claim your top 3.
Introduction
30 Second Summary
Your student email gets you more than you'd think, from free AI tools and software to cheaper music, streaming and perks at your own uni.
In this project, you will use Claude to search the best student deal lists online and your own uni's perks page, then turn everything you qualify for into a claim list and claim your top 3 before you finish.
What You'll Build
Open your claim list and every deal you qualify for is there, ranked by what it's worth to you, with how to verify and a link to claim it.
By the end of this project, you'll have:
- Every student deal you qualify for, from free AI and software to everyday apps and campus perks, each with an official link.
- A Student Deals Claim List built in Claude, ranked by value and showing what each deal needs to verify.
- Your top 3 deals claimed before you finish.
- Secret Mission: Share a version of your claim list with your class or club group chat.
Are there any prerequisites?
You only need a Claude Free account and a modern web browser. You must be at least 18, be in a location supported by Claude, and have access to a supported text-capable phone number if Claude asks for one.
Before We Start
Before We Start...
Before you search, lock in what you are building and what stays private. Your Student Deals Claim List can use public offer details without exposing student IDs, passwords, verification codes, or payment details.
Set Up Free Accounts and Private Inputs
Find Free AI and Software Deals
The fastest student-deal search starts with lists that other students already maintain. Those lists give you leads, while each provider's official page decides whether a deal belongs in your claim list.
You will create one free Claude account and ask it to read four curated sources. Claude will then check each promising AI or software deal against its official page.
In this step, get ready to:
- Create your Claude Free account.
- Search curated lists for AI and software deals.
- Keep only deals supported by an official page.
Create your Claude Free account
- Open claude.ai in your browser.
- Select Continue with email or Continue with Google.
- Complete the account prompts with an email address you control.
- Enter the six-digit text code if Claude asks you to verify your phone number.
- Select Verify code.
- Check that you can start a new Claude conversation.
Your Claude Free account is ready when you can start a conversation. That gives you one place to research every deal and build your claim list.
Can't finish the account setup?
Ask for help setting up Claude without sharing private details. If the issue continues, share only non-sensitive symptoms in the NextWork community.
Search the smart sources
Curated lists make the first search much bigger without making it slower. Your location and available proof help Claude remove offers you cannot claim.
- Start a new conversation in Claude.
- Find qualifying AI and software deals by sending this prompt:
Start with these student-deal sources instead of searching from scratch:
GitHub Student Developer Pack: https://education.github.com/pack
Awesome Student Developer Resources (AI tools, recently updated): https://github.com/serithemage/awesome-student-developer-resources
AI Student Discount (AI tools index that links to official pages): https://aistudentdiscount.com/
Student Offers (596+ offers across AI, software, and everyday categories): https://www.studentoffers.co/
I study in [[COUNTRY="your country"]].
My study level is [[STUDY_LEVEL="college, university, high school, or other"]].
I can verify with [[VERIFICATION_OPTIONS="school email, student ID, enrollment proof, or none"]].
Pull out free or discounted AI and software tools I appear eligible for. Check examples such as Gemini for students, Wispr Flow's student offer, the GitHub Student Developer Pack, Notion Education, and Microsoft 365.
Treat each list as a lead. Visit the provider's official page once before keeping a deal.
For every retained deal, include its name, what I get, eligibility, verification method, official link, country limits, expiry or "Not stated", date checked, and any payment or automatic-renewal condition.
Label every result "AI and software".
Remove any deal whose official page does not support the offer.
Do not ask for my exact school email, student ID, password, payment details, or verification codes.
Let the official page decide
Curated lists go out of date, so the official provider page decides whether a deal is live. Eligibility also varies: one offer may require a .edu address, while another accepts any school email, a student ID, enrollment proof, or SheerID verification.
Country rules matter too. Google currently lists its no-cost 12-month AI Pro student trial for US higher-education students, while learners elsewhere may see different student discounts or bundles.
You should see a checked AI and software list with an official link and verification method for every deal. A shorter verified list is more useful than a long list built from expired claims.
Check and save your software deals
- Open the official link for the first result.
- Check that the page supports the published benefit.
- Check that the eligibility matches your country and student status.
- Remove the result if the official page does not support it.
- Repeat the check for each remaining result.
- Copy the checked AI and software results from Claude.
- Paste the results into Your Work in the current NextWork project.
- Keep this Claude conversation open for the next steps.
Press Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS or Windows+Shift+S on Windows to capture your checked AI and software results.
You now have your first claim-list category, backed by provider pages you opened yourself. That is the smart-source search working.
Your AI and software deals are ready. Next, you will add the everyday offers and campus perks that make student life cheaper beyond your laptop.
Build the First Money Map
Add Everyday Deals and Campus Perks
Your AI and software list is checked against official provider pages. Now you will widen the search to subscriptions, food, shopping, your university, and useful places nearby.
You will continue in the same Claude conversation so every result stays together. Student deal sites provide leads, while university and business pages confirm what you can actually claim.
In this step, get ready to:
- Find everyday student deals through dedicated deal sites.
- Find perks from your university and nearby businesses.
- Keep only offers supported by an official page.
Find everyday student deals
Deal sites collect offers across music, streaming, shopping, delivery, and subscriptions. Claude should match the US and UK sources to your country, then flag that ISIC requires a paid card costing about €4 to €25.
- Return to the Claude conversation from Step 1.
- Find everyday deals by sending this prompt:
Use these student deal sites as leads:
UNiDAYS: https://www.myunidays.com/
Student Beans (50+ countries): https://www.studentbeans.com/
ISIC student card discounts (130+ countries; card costs about 4 to 25 EUR): https://www.isic.org/discounts/
Awesome Edu Perks for US learners: https://github.com/sdhutchins/awesome-edu-perks
Save the Student for UK learners: https://www.savethestudent.org/student-deals
I study in [[COUNTRY="your country"]].
These are subscriptions or apps I already use: [[SUBSCRIPTIONS="subscription names you use or none"]].
Find current student offers for everyday apps and subscriptions. Include music, streaming, Amazon Prime Student, food delivery, shopping, travel, and other useful recurring services.
Use Awesome Edu Perks and Save the Student only when each source matches my country.
Flag every ISIC result as requiring a paid card that costs about 4 to 25 EUR.
Visit each provider's official page once before keeping a deal.
For every retained deal, include its name, what I get, eligibility, verification method, official link, country limits, expiry or "Not stated", date checked, and any payment or automatic-renewal condition.
Label every result "Everyday".
Remove any deal whose official page does not support the offer.
Do not estimate monthly savings.
Do not ask for account credentials, payment details, or verification codes.
You should see an Everyday list shaped around your country and the services you use. Every retained offer should point to the provider's own page.
Getting irrelevant everyday deals?
Check that web search is active and that your country is specific. You can ask for help refining the search without sharing private details.
Add university and nearby perks
Your university may include software, library services, transport, food support, gym access, or local partnerships. Nearby offers only belong on the list when a university or business page confirms them.
- Find campus and nearby perks by sending this prompt in the same conversation:
Search the official website for [[UNIVERSITY="your university"]] and official business pages near [[CAMPUS_LOCATION="your campus address or neighbourhood"]].
Find current student perks from the university first. Then find useful nearby student deals for food, transport, fitness, study spaces, entertainment, and services.
Visit each official university or business page once before keeping a result.
For every retained deal, include its name, what I get, eligibility, verification method, official link, location when relevant, expiry or "Not stated", and date checked.
Label every university or nearby result "Campus".
Remove any result whose official page does not support the offer.
Do not estimate monthly savings.
Do not ask for my home address, student ID number, account credentials, payment details, or verification codes.
You should see a Campus list with university links and public business locations. A short list is a valid result when few nearby businesses publish student offers online.
Finding few campus offers?
Give Claude the university's full name and a campus neighbourhood rather than your home address. Ask for help finding official campus results if the list remains thin.
Check and save both categories
- Open the official page for the first Everyday result.
- Remove the result if the page does not support the offer.
- Repeat the check for each remaining Everyday result.
- Open the official page for each Campus result once.
- Remove any Campus result whose page does not support the offer.
- Copy the checked Everyday and Campus results from Claude.
- Paste both groups beneath your AI and software results in Your Work.
- Check that every retained deal includes an official link and an expiry or Not stated.
Press Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS or Windows+Shift+S on Windows to capture your three checked categories.
Your work page should now show AI and software, Everyday, and Campus deals. Every offer you kept has an official page you opened.
Your bigger search is complete. Next, you will turn every checked result into one ranked Student Deals Claim List.
Hunt for Savings Candidates
Build Your Student Deals Claim List
You now have three checked deal categories with official links. The next step turns that research into a ranked list you can act on.
You will create a Claude Artifact called Student Deals Claim List. It will show what each deal gives you, how to verify, and whether you have claimed it.
In this step, get ready to:
- Enable Claude's Artifact capability.
- Rank your checked deals by personal value.
- Build and test the Student Deals Claim List.
Enable Artifact creation
Claude creates interactive Artifacts with its cloud code capability. Enable it before asking for the claim list so the finished view can open beside your conversation.
- Select Settings in Claude.
- Select Capabilities.
- Enable Cloud code execution and file creation.
- Check that the setting remains enabled after you leave the page.
The capability is ready when its setting remains enabled. Claude can now create the interactive claim list beside your chat.
Can't enable Artifact creation?
Check that you are signed in to the Claude Free account from Step 1 and that the capability remains enabled. You can also ask for help without sharing private account details.
Rank the deals by value
The best deal is the one you will actually use. Tell Claude what matters to you so a useful free tool can rank above a larger discount on something you never wanted.
- Return to the Claude conversation containing all three checked categories.
- Rank the deals by sending this prompt:
Review every checked deal in this conversation.
My priorities are [[PRIORITIES="the tools, subscriptions, or campus perks that matter most to you"]].
Remove any deal I do not appear eligible for.
Rank the remaining deals by what they are worth to me, using my priorities, how often I could use the benefit, and how easy it is to claim.
Do not calculate a savings total or monthly saving estimate.
Keep the categories AI and software, Everyday, and Campus.
For every deal, keep what I get, how to verify, the official link, expiry or "Not stated", and a short reason for its position.
Return the complete ranked list.
You should see one ranked list led by deals that match your priorities. Every entry should still carry its official link and verification requirement.
Build the Student Deals Claim List
- Check that the ranked response contains every deal you qualify for.
- Create the interactive claim list by sending this prompt in the same conversation:
Create a standard interactive Artifact titled "Student Deals Claim List" using the complete checked and ranked research in this conversation.
Include every deal I appear eligible for.
Keep the ranking based on what each deal is worth to me.
For every deal, show its rank, name, category, what I get, why it ranks there, how to verify, official link, expiry or "Not stated", and status.
Set every initial status to "To claim".
Use only these categories: "AI and software", "Everyday", and "Campus".
Add selectable filters for All, AI and software, Everyday, and Campus.
Make "To claim" and "Claimed" visually distinct.
Let me change a deal's status between "To claim" and "Claimed".
Do not show an "I could save" total.
Do not calculate monthly savings estimates.
Do not invent offers, eligibility, links, expiry dates, or verification methods.
Keep private student details, account credentials, verification codes, and payment information out of the Artifact.
What does this prompt build?
The Artifact turns your research into a queue. Ranking tells you where to start, while the status separates opportunities from deals you have already claimed.
- Send the completed prompt to generate the Claude Artifact.
- Select the AI and software filter.
- Select the Everyday filter.
- Select the Campus filter.
- Check that every visible deal has an official link.
- Check that every status reads To claim.
Claude may need about a minute to build the interactive view, so a short pause is normal. You should then see a Student Deals Claim List with a ranking, three category filters, and a status for every deal.
Claude Free does not provide persistent Artifact data storage. Keep the original conversation because you will use it to rebuild the Artifact with updated statuses in Step 4.
Claim list did not open?
Confirm that the complete checked research and Artifact prompt are in the same conversation. Check that Cloud code execution and file creation remains enabled.
Help me troubleshoot the missing Student Deals Claim List.
Press Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS or Windows+Shift+S on Windows to capture the finished claim list.
That is the claim list working: every qualifying deal is ranked, filterable, and ready to claim.
Your claim list tells you exactly where to start. Next, you will turn its top three opportunities into claimed deals.
Create a Weekly Savings System
Claim Your Top 3 Deals
Your Student Deals Claim List has turned a large search into a clear top three. Now you will claim those deals and move them out of the queue.
This final required step closes the loop between finding an offer and receiving it. You will keep screenshot proof while hiding private student, account, and payment details.
In this step, get ready to:
- Claim the top three suitable deals from your list.
- Capture safe proof of each completed claim.
- Update all three statuses to Claimed.
Claim your top three deals
Claiming a deal may involve student verification, a new account, or a payment method. Use only the official link, and move to the next suitable deal if you see a charge you did not plan to accept.
- Open your Student Deals Claim List.
- Open the official link for the highest-ranked suitable deal.
- Read the eligibility, renewal, and claim requirements.
- Complete the official claim or sign-up flow.
- Repeat the official claim flow for the next suitable deal.
- Repeat the official claim flow for a third suitable deal.
- Hide your email address, student number, payment details, and verification codes on each confirmation screen.
- Capture each safe confirmation with Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS or Windows+Shift+S on Windows.
You now have proof for three completed claims without exposing the details used to verify them. Keep the three screenshots together until you update the list.
One of the claims did not complete?
Check the official eligibility rules and the non-sensitive message shown on the page. You can ask for help with a claim without sharing private details.
Update the three statuses
The three confirmations prove the claims worked. Rebuild the Artifact from the original conversation so the finished list records that progress.
- Return to the original Claude conversation containing your Student Deals Claim List.
- Update the claimed deals by sending this prompt:
Update my Student Deals Claim List using these completed claims:
[[CLAIMED_DEALS="the names of your three claimed deals"]]
Change only those three deals from "To claim" to "Claimed".
Keep every other status as "To claim".
Preserve the ranking, categories, benefits, verification methods, official links, and expiry details.
Preserve the filters for All, AI and software, Everyday, and Campus.
Rebuild the interactive Artifact with the title "Student Deals Claim List".
Do not add a savings total or monthly estimates.
Do not include private account, student, payment, or verification details.
- Send the prompt to rebuild the Artifact.
- Check that exactly three deals show Claimed.
- Check that every other deal still shows To claim.
- Open each category filter to confirm the statuses remain visible.
- Capture the updated claim list with Cmd+Shift+4 on macOS or Windows+Shift+S on Windows.
That is the claim loop complete: your top three deals are active, and your Student Deals Claim List records each one as Claimed.
